Fighting my way through the dense crowd in the Grooveshark Tent at Camp Bisco X felt like crawling through a humid rain forest inhabited by a tribe of dancing teenagers. Finally getting to the press pit, after wading through a treacherous muddy swamp, I was overwhelmed by the spectacular light show and flawless performance given by Philadelphia-based band Lotus. Borrowing sounds from a plethora of musical genres and mashing them together to form a highly danceable, progressive electronic composition. A complete package deal, Lotus delivers a diverse show with energy that never relents.
