Dumb Numbers is a band headed by Adam Harding with many collaborators including Lou Barlow (Dinosaur Jr./Sebadoh), Dale Crover (Melvins), David Yow (Jesus Lizard), Murph (Dinosaur Jr.) Bobb Bruno (Best Coast) and many more. “My Mantra” starts off the album and sets the tone with heavy guitars and heavily effected vocals, while “Girl On The Screen” has a more laid back feel to it. “Unbury The Hatchet” and “Sometimes There’s No Next Time” both clock in at over eight minutes each and feature long instrumental sections with solos, distorted vocals and ambient noise. Overall it’s a great sophomore album from a unique band with a lot of familiar names.
Stream “Unbury The Hatchet” below, featuring lead vocals by David Yow. Dumb Numbers II is out August 19th via Joyful Noise (pre-order)
