Shure Incorporated today announced the official venue lineup for its third annual National Open Mic Night, a week-long series of events that unites singers, musicians, and spoken word artists. In observance of the Company’s 89th Anniversary, Shure is sponsoring 48 venues that will host National Open Mic Night events Monday, April 21, to Sunday, April 27, 2014, across the country.

“From Los Angeles to New York, if you’re an aspiring performer, we invite you to come out and participate at one of the Shure Open Mic Night venues throughout the United States,” said Stephen Kohler, Senior Director of Marketing, Shure Americas. “This year is shaping up to be our biggest National Open Mic Night yet, as we’ve brought on more venues than ever to create a week full of great music, inspiring spoken-word performances, and quality sound.”
All participating venues will exclusively use SM58® and SM57 microphones, provided by Shure, during open mic night events. Shure is also supplying venues with promotional materials that will provide marketing support leading up to, during, and following their respective events.
Artists who perform during this week-long celebration at a participating venue will have the opportunity to win SE112 Sound Isolating™ Earphones. Following the National Open Mic Night festivities, each participating venue will be entered into a random drawing to win one of five BLX Wireless Systems.
