Noise Pop Announces New Bands + Film Lineup for 2014

noise pop logoNoise Pop Music Festival, San Francisco’s premiere music and arts festival for all things indie, has added some exciting artists to this year’s lineup. In addition to the already incredible bill featuring Mark KozelekLord HuronBob Mould (25 Years of Workbook), No Age and more, Noise Pop Festivalwill include performances by Dr. Dog, Real Estate, Cold Cave, Throwing Muses, Mark Mulcahy, The Soft White Sixties, Bleached and Mother Falcon! The celebrations in honor of Noise Pop’s 22nd year running will take place February 25th through March 2nd, 2014 throughout the Bay Area. Festival badges are on sale now; see below for details. Noise Pop is also thrilled to announce the initial films to be screened at Noise Pop Film Series! The first batch includes San Francisco premieres of Mistaken for Strangers, a documentary filmed during The National’s 2010 tour by lead singer Matt Berninger’s younger brother, Tom; Revenge of the Mekons, which features Fred Armisen, is about The Mekons, a radical punk rock group of British art students who formed in 70s by Jon LangfordBrothers Hypnotic, about the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, a band comprised of jazz legend Phil Cohran’s eight sons; and many more to come!  These films will be shown at various indie cinemas across the Bay Area – see below for details, and stay tuned for more updates on the Film Series front.
