Last night, Boston’s House of Blues was set ablaze by the multifaceted bombast that is Matt and Kim. The duo, beaming sunny vibes accompanied by elastic rhythms and warm keyboard chords, were in their element as they prompted concert goers to dole out raucous energy in full force. Matt and Kim’s fifth album, New Glow, is not even a week old but yet new songs performed live like “Hoodie On” and “Get It” felt like familiar favorites. Kim Schifino’s energy was unmatched by anyone in the building, and almost immediately her drum set became the pavement that she pounded on and jumped all over. The night included generous hip hop mashups, balloon blowing, and even an R. Kelly cover. Check out some images from the evening after the jump!
