▼ Article continues below ▼Divorce is the sophomore release from Canadian band JPNSGRLS (pronounced Japanese girls). While their first album showed the band experimenting and exploring with different tastes, here we have a more clear and unified sound. The record opens with the high energy, garage-poppy “Oh My God” before transitioning into a couple heavy riff-based tracks. Lead single and self-described feminist anthem “Bully For You” is darker but still retains the catchy hooks. “Circus” is a softer and comparatively slower song than the rest of the fast paced album. All in all, this is a great second release from an awesome band that will have you coming back for more. Stream it above, buy a copy on vinyl, and sound off in the comments below.
