Supporting Such Gold’s East Coast tour, Bay Area trio Tommy Boys visited Massachusetts for the first time and rocked the Middle East Upstairs. They played new material from their recent self-titled release on Other People Records. For only having three members they have an intricate sound, part math rock, part ’90s indie/emo rock and all passion. Joey’s shout-style vocals are surprisingly soothing and add a great layer of sound along with the bass fuzz and technical guitar work. Catch them opening up for Such Gold, Koji and Brigades in the Southeast through April 22nd.
