“With Give It Up I just wanted to make light out of a situation that involves two people who can’t seem to communicate to each other what is bothering them. Instead of telling each other the truth, they dance around the real issues while things just get worse and worse. I thought if the lyrics were gonna be kind of dark I definitely wanted to make the music upbeat so that’s what I did,” says singer/guitarist Mike McFadden.
