Thinking about going amp-less on-stage or in the rehearsal studio, or trying to figure out how to get the best sound out of your amp sims, modelers, multi-fx units and other amp-less rig alternatives? We recently hooked up with the band First to Eleven to check out the new Radial Highline line isolators, both mono and stereo versions, to see how a real band can ditch the big, heavy amps and streamline their live setups — all while getting killer sound quality from their rigs.

In this initial episode, we’ll unbox both units and gear up to integrate them into our guitar and bass rigs, setup for a live rehearsal in preparation for an upcoming tour, and show you just how simple the Highline line isolator can be to plug into your own setup.
In episode 2, we start to explore the ways in which a band that performs live can integrate both the standard and stereo versions of the Radial Highline Line Isolators into a rig to get clean signals out to the front of house when using an ampless setup for guitars and basses (and even drums?! hmmm….)
In episode 3, we take a deeper dive into the band’s setup to see just how they incorporate their Neural DSP Quad Cortex and Nano Cortex setups with the Radial Highline units to get clean signals to the front of house engineer on tour.
In episode 4 we go into the studio to run through an entire song using no guitar or bass amps, just running clean signals out from amp modelers through the Radial Highline and Highline stereo out to the console for pristine live sound and recorded sound. Enjoy!
