ABOUT THE NEW RUN BOY RUN MUSIC VIDEO
“Who Should Follow Who?” is about the fate of relationships that have weathered time and hardship. Asking the poignant question of the song’s title, Bekah Sandoval Rolland (writer and lead vocalist on this track) sings of a woman who looks with sadness and regret at a relationship, attempting to remember what brought her into it in the first place, and to figure out what is keeping her there. The song asks a lot of questions – What does it mean to make a lifelong commitment to someone? How far do you take that commitment? At what cost? The colorful interaction between the guitar and mandolin, fiddle and cello, and collective rising and falling of the voices together result in a striking tension between the narrator’s stoicism and desperation, and reflect a resolve to find an answer and to move forward.
