Salt Lake City, Utah

Salt Lake City rests along a convenient stretch of the greater West Coast corridor between other major stops like Denver, Boise and Las Vegas. Not only is it perfectly positioned to break up a long drive, but loaded with ample show opportunities. Touring bands will find the SLC boasts plenty of 21+ clubs and a plethora of all-ages venues, as well as cafes, record stores and more alternative spaces. Myriad genres find audiences in the supportive music community, with indie, alt-country, emo a la Utahans The Used, straightedge punk and folk especially popular. Having recently completed the first annual hip-hop and house showcase, Salt Lake City Music Festival, Utah belies its reputed conservativeness as a surprisingly dedicated lover of the arts eager to embrace music of all sorts.
