Lectrosonics Introduces the DMPA12

The newest item in the DM series of LecNet2-based audio processors from Lectrosonics, the DMPA12 is a digital, 12-channel, power amplifier and DSP processor in a single rack space enclosure.
The DMPA12 uses LecNet2 protocol to take audio inputs from the final mix bus via the Digital Audio Network Interface (DANI) bus, which is an integral part of the DM Series processors. These final mix signals are then processed individually at each output channel in the power amplifier to apply delay, filtering, compression and limiting, as necessary. The unit is convection cooled and provides ten watts per channel RMS using Class D topology and can drive loads as low as four ohms.
In H-bridged mode, the DMPA12 can combine two channels to double the output power available. The front-panel LEDs show channel status, including signal present, muting and limiting. The DMPA12 can be controlled and programmed via a USB interface or an RS232 serial port.
Nady Announces New Harmonica Mic

Nady Systems recently announced the introduction of their new harmonica mic, the VHM-7 Bushman Torpedo. This specialty microphone was developed by Bushman, a leading harmonica maker, and is being manufactured and distributed by Nady, one of the most trusted mic manufacturers in the US.

Designed specifically for harmonica use, the Torpedo features a cardioid pattern dynamic cartridge tailored for producing thick, fat tone while holding cupped. Open air, uncapped use produces smooth, clean vocal audio, while the distinctive, proprietary fluted design allows for inventive special effects and tone altering, including shaping, hand-wahs and flutters.
The VHM-7 is also a high-performance vocal mic, so harp players have the option of using the same mic for both singing and playing. The mic can be used with its own amp or plugged into a PA.
Unlike with most modern harmonica mics, the volume levels on the Torpedo can be turned up with virtually no feedback. With the increased volume flexibility, you can dial in almost any sound by balancing the treble, mids, and bass settings on your amp just as you would with a vocal mic.
The VHM-7 features a unique, vintage, chromed aerospace casing for a hip retro look and its tough construction and comfortable feel make it ideal for overall performance needs.
