Duties: Assist the Managing Editor in editorial content production and writing of magazine sections that appear in 3 monthly regional music publications (West Coast Performer Magazine, Southeast Performer Magazine, and Northeast Performer Magazine), including gear reviews (hardware, software, instruments), book reviews, national news, obituaries and more. National Editorial Assistant will also find opportunities to write live and album reviews as available and possible larger Spotlight and Feature stories. Assist with copyediting. Continual management of national database (venues, studios, labels, promotions, etc..,).
Requirements: A min. of 10 hrs per week at the office (Max. of 40hrs/wk).
Qualifications: Strong writing background. Knowledge of general trends in local and national music scenes. Applicants with exposure to working bands and musicians or industry mechanics are highly preferred.
