
NAMM reported a four percent increase in overall registration this year, with a sum of 81,315 attendees. There was also a record breaking number of exhibitors, totaling 1,462 companies. International attendance also showed a nine percent increase with a sum of 9,170 registrants from 92 different countries.
Crowds surveyed the newest products on the market and networked while being serenaded by live music throughout the aisles. NAMM University sessions also offered savvy business tactics from experienced members of the industry.
"Industry watchers typically look to the NAMM Show for a first look at the year ahead," said Joe Lamond, president and CEO, NAMM. "And based on what we saw here in Anaheim, there's good reason to be optimistic." Lamond continued, "The NAMM show fuels our 'circle of benefits' business model where show revenues are reinvested back into the industry. NAMM's Executive Committee, Board and staff will continue to work diligently on new market-building programs, partnerships and initiatives to help our Members grow."
