Kicking off October 5, the Midatlantic Music Conference is an annual music conference that jam-packs three days full of educational panels, networking opportunities and high-energy entertainment.
The conference, which was founded 10 years ago by Kysii Ingram, James Caldwell, and Glen Hicks, was created to showcase the often-underrated Mid-Atlantic music scene. “This area has the talent, but not the exposure for the talent. So that is what we are trying to do,” says Ingram.
Ingram, Caldwell, and Hicks co-host the conference under their company name Wholeteam Enterprises, LLC along with Caldwell’s business The Caldwell Group. This year the conference has 14 sponsors, 25 panelists and will feature 100 performances by bands and artists in a variety of venues in the NoDa district.
The NoDa district, outside of Charlotte, has become home to the event because, Ingram says, “We are trying to make our homebase one centralized area. NoDa is the cultural hub of Charlotte, so we think it’s the right location for the conference.”
With three days full of relevant information, knowledgable people, and awesome live music, this festival is a great opportunity for music professionals across the board.
