We chose Little Anchor’s Yellow Lights as the “vinyl of the month” in our July issue, and we’re excited to premiere their new video for “Lady Tennessee.”

“The idea for “Lady Tennessee” came from one of our co-directors, David Yoon, who directed our first music video for “Until Our Eyes Adjust.” It’s essentially a beauty pageant gone wrong, with the contestants and their mothers fighting each other, tomatoes in hand, to be crowned “Lady Tennessee.” David and our other co-director, Cynthia Chou, brought in a choreographer for the dance number — you have no idea how exciting it is as a songwriter to see five people do a choregraphed dance to the song you wrote — and we shot the video at The Jalopy Theatre in Red Hook, Brooklyn!”
