Razormaze Announce New Album!

Boston thrashers RAZORMAZE have taken on a new path, new look and release a new album.

RAZORMAZE, formerly known for their fast, wrenching technical riffs, will now be infusing, funk, salsa and groove akin to that of Seether, System of a Down. “We reexamined nu-metal as a genre and said ‘hey this is actually really good stuff’” says Vocalist Alex Citrone. The result of this mind-bending blend of genres culminates as their new album WHOREFOOT. The band refused to comment on the title. “Make of it what you will,” requests Lead Shredder Dave Carlino “Razormaze, doesn’t need to tell anyone what WHOREFOOT means. The magic is the profound thought it provokes in the individual.”
The band also announces an Asian tour this summer with HOOBASTANK and will be making limited appearances on the Summer Slaughter tour. “They asked us to do the whole tour, but we we didn’t want to expose ourselves to a world of fans that wouldn’t be ready for this new direction,” comments Sam Nevin, Bassist “we were honestly kind of scared to go forward in releasing this material, because well, it’s just too good. We don’t want to be responsible for changing the face of music itself.” The band has set an April release date. Rumors have been circulating about adding keyboards to the line up as well as a deal with Flip/Interscope. “You’ll just have to wait and see,” says Nick Lazzaro the bands drummer “You’ll just have to wait and see..”

8-string Guitarist-turned 88-key Keyboardist, David Carlino offers: “The Album is a concept album about the fail [sic] of Rome and the book of Revelations. The core (see what I did there?) material is deep and explores subjects such as the impermanence of society because of religion and theology.”

“Hes drunk, again.” Adds Bassist Sam Nevin. “Just don’t listen to him… hes having a hard time right now.”

Fans’ mouths are watering at the prospect of a larger, more worldly Razormaze fleshes into being on the advent of the release of their sophomore album, “Whorefoot.”
